Join us at this sesshin commemorating the life and teaching of Soen Shaku, the first Rinzai Zen master to bring Shakyamuni Buddha’s teachings to the West. Sesshin will be led by Hokuto Osho, and will include zazen, morning service, chanting, sarei, teisho, and dokusan. Formal jihatsu meals will be served.
Full-time participation is encouraged; part-time attendance will be considered as space allows. If you have any questions, or if this will be your first sesshin, please email office@newyorkzendo.org before registering. ZSS Health Protocols apply.
The fee for sesshin is $150 for Zen Studies Society Supporting Members and $175 for non-members. Please consider becoming a Supporting Member of ZSS. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, contact office@newyorkzendo.org for support.
