Become A Member

By offering monthly financial contributions—along with regular participation in sittings, programs, sesshin, and volunteer work as circumstances allow—Zen Studies Society members provide essential ongoing support to ensure that our temples, Dai Bosatsu Zendo Kongo-ji and New York Zendo Shobo-ji, are places of spiritual renewal and strong Dharma activity for generations to come.  Read More

Donate

The Buddha’s community, his teaching and indeed his life, were made possible by the townspeople whose donations supported him, day by day, meal by meal. And from that day to this, nothing has changed. We rely on our community’s generosity of heart to continue our zazen practice and this Dharma teaching, day after day, year after year.  Read More

Engage

The Buddha and his students dedicated their lives to sharing the Dharma as widely as possible, especially with the most impoverished and dispossessed in their communities. The Engaged Buddhism group seeks to continue the work of cultivating a more integrated, inclusive, and ethical way of being in the world. Please connect with us at engagedbuddhist19@gmail.com if you would like to join us in this goal. Read More
