NYZ: 56th Anniversary Weekend Sesshin

Join Chigan Roshi and the sangha at New York Zendo Shobo-ji to commemorate the founding of our temple.  Established on September 15, 1968 by Soen Nakagawa Roshi and Eido Shimano Roshi, NYZ was one of the first Rinzai Zen practice centers in the United States. For over half a century we have continued to offer authentic Rinzai Zen training amid the bustle of life in Manhattan.  Sesshin will include zazen, morning service,  chanting, sarei, teisho and dokusan, and formal jihatsu meals will be served.   

The sesshin fee is $150 for Supporting Members and $175 for nonmembers.
