DBZ: O-Bon Samu Week

Join us for this special opportunity to work side by side with Shinge Roshi, residents and Sangha volunteers preparing for the intricate ceremonies of O-Bon. We will follow a modified monastic schedule, with morning service, daily samu (work practice), and Dai Segaki chanting each evening. Let’s practice together, work together — and then participate in the O-Bon weekend (see description below). Samu Week starts Tuesday at 2 p.m. and ends Friday afternoon. That evening we’ll officially begin O-Bon with the Opening Fire. O-Bon weekend is free to samu week participants. Donations gratefully accepted. ZSS Covid Protocols apply.
