This sesshin honors Shakyamuni Buddha’s passage into final Nirvana. There will be a Parinirvana ceremony and we will also commemorate Eido Tai Shimano Roshi’s passing on Feb. 19, 2018. Sesshin will be led by Hokuto Osho, and will include zazen, morning service, chanting, sarei (formal tea), teisho (Dharma talks) and dokusan (Dharma interviews), and formal jihatsu meals will be served.

The sesshin fee is $150 for Supporting Members and $175 for nonmembers. Please consider becoming a Supporting Member. Junryu Eran Vardi Roshi in the lineage of Taizan Maezumi Roshi leads this four-day sesshin in a Soto/Rinzai combined form. Open to all who wish to participate, sesshin begins on Wednesday, October 11 at 8:00 p.m. and ends on Sunday, October 15 at 2 p.m. This Sesshin will include zazen, dokusan, teisho (Dharma talks), chanting, traditional jihatsu-style meals, morning stretching, Bokken practice, and outdoor kinhin by the lake.

Let us gather on Dai Bosatsu Mountain and sit with all our might to requite the beneficence of the great founding teachers whose endless vow brought Dai Bosatsu Zendo into being. Led by Shinge Roshi and Chigan Roshi, this sesshin commemorates the 47th Anniversary of the formal opening of Dai Bosatsu Zendo Kongo-ji on July 4, 1976.  Health Protocols apply.
