Online: Golden Wind/Bodhidharma Day Weekend Sesshin
October 2 @ 7:00 pm - October 4 @ 5:00 pm
A monk asked Ummon, “What will happen when the leaves fall and the trees become bare?” Ummon said, “Golden wind!” Join us for the first weekend sesshin of fall kessei. As autumn paints the trees in brilliant colors, golden leaves swirl down, and the breeze turns cooler, join us to clear, refresh, and refocus your heart and mind. Led by Shinge Roshi, Dokuro Osho, and Hokuto Sensei, this Zoom sesshin will include zazen, morning service, teisho, a Dharma talk, dokusan, and Dharma interviews. Off-line time will be built into the schedule for meals, work practice at your homes, and kinhin. After you register, you will receive a schedule with Zoom links. While we encourage full-time participation, you may join us for as much as you can. The sliding-scale fee is $75 to $150. Please help the Zen Studies Society to continue to make its events available to those who cannot afford the full price by making a contribution in addition to your payment of $150.
