NYZ: MLK Weekend Sesshin

Join us in person and online at New York Zendo for this weekend sesshin honoring the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to combat racial inequality through nonviolent means. Led by Chigan Roshi, the sesshin will include zazen, morning service, teisho and dokusan. For those participating through Zoom, off-line time will be built into the schedule for kinhin (walking meditation), meals and work practice at home. [Please note that online participation will only be offered if a minimum of 5 people sign up to participate in that way.] ZSS Covid Protocols apply to in-person participation. The in-person fee is $140 for members, $165 for nonmembers. The suggested fee for online participation is $75-150.
