NYZ: Mandala Day Service, Meditation, Shakuhachi Performance, and Brunch

Doors open at 9:30am.
Mandala Day chanting service at 10am, with a live shakuhachi (bamboo flute) offering by Thomas Ryuraku Hack. Ryuraku has studied the traditional Japanese Honkyoku repertoire for approximately 15 years and has been licensed to teach the Kinko School Jin Nyodo style.
Our Mandala Day service will be followed by walking meditation & sitting meditation.
Temple cleaning begins approximately noon with informal brunch at 12:30pm. Ryuraku will offer a second shakuhachi piece just before brunch.
$10 suggested contribution. You are welcome to bring food to share if you wish, but this is not required.
Please bring white socks or tabi for the Mandala Day service. Extras are available to borrow.
