NYZ: Elevating the Mundane: Learn How to Serve a Basic Tea Ceremony

June 3 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Share the quietude you have cultivated in zazen with loved ones by learning how to serve a tea ceremony with just a simple rice bowl, loose leaf tea, and hot water. Put the saying “Zen and tea, one flavor” into motion with basic kitchen tools.

Enkai Erika Houle will guide an introductory workshop on how to serve a leaves-in-a-bowl tea ceremony. This hands-on lesson is suitable for people at any experience level.

Co-hosted by Tea Arts & Culture.

The suggested contribution for this workshop is $30.

Tea samples to take home will be available by donation.
