      open Space Program
From April to October, our Open Space Program offers Beecher House as a facility for weekend retreats. Beecher House was originally built in 1867 by James Beecher, a Protestant minister, and brother of abolitionist writer Harriet Beecher Stowe. It faces beautiful Beecher Lake, and is surrounded by 1,400 acres of unspoiled forest. We have accomodated yoga and massage training groups, corporate offsite weekends, 12-step retreats and many more. For larger groups, the monastery can also be utilized. Your group will enjoy three delicious vegetarian meals, plus snacks, tea and coffee throughout the day. In addition to your own activities, you may choose to join the residents in their daily Zen practice. Please note: Beecher House is only available to groups with a minimum of 12 people.

If you are looking for some quiet time alone, O-An cottage is available. This lovely cottage can sleep two people comfortably and has its own kitchen and bathroom. There is abundant wildlife and spectacular mountain scenery to be enjoyed, but most of all there is a sense of serenity that provides a perfect place to learn and grow or just to retreat and rest. We will need at least 2 weeks advance notice for guests at O-An cottage. Please call the office at (845) 439-4566, or .
