Hokuto Dan Diffin Sensei will lead this sit honoring Nyogen Senzaki, a great early pioneer of Zen in America. A disciple of Soen Shaku Roshi, Nyogen Senzaki came to the United States in 1905. He practiced alone at first, then was gradually sought out by Americans eager to learn about and practice Zen. There will be a Dharma talk and practice interviews, and a formal lunch will be served in the zendo. A suggested donation of $30 for members or $40 for others is appreciated. If you have any questions, or if this will be your first All-Day Sit at NYZ, before you register call 212-861-3333, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
