Sitting together on Dai Bosatsu Mountain, listening to the profusion of birds and feeling the gentle breeze blowing through our opening hearts, we will experience the profound stillness that inspires us to encounter our true nature. We will walk around Beecher Lake, on the trails and over the bridges, meeting the animals and plants who share our lives. During this sesshin, we will express our Dharma debt to the Founding Abbot of Dai Bosatsu Zendo, Eido Shimano Roshi. Shinge Roshi will offer teisho and dokusan, and Dharma Teachers will offer talks. There will be an optional yoga class each afternoon. Once again we will end sesshin with a special purification ceremony, sharing the Three Infinities: infinite gratitude for what we have received in the past, infinite service to all beings in the present, and infinite responsibility, concern, and vision for the future. Be sure to bring white socks/tabi for the anniversary ceremony and boots for the walk around the lake.
The fee is $382.50 for members, or $425 for non-members. Reduced fees are available to students who would otherwise be unable to attend. Transportation may be available from New York Zendo. If you would like to discuss these possibilities or have any question, or if this will be your first sesshin at DBZ, before you register, call 845-439-4566 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
